The Soho Theatre Company was founded in 1969, where it performed in New Compton Street before moving to the Soho Poly Theatre, where it remained for 18 years presenting new plays. Its early years saw the first works of the likes of Sue Townsend and Tony Marchant. Today the company owns the freehold to Soho Theatre. It is a state of the art venue with a theatre, studio and ancillary space.
Productions that are coming up at the theatre include: ' Behud (beyond belief)' , Janey Godley, Simon Amstell, Ronna and Beverly, Jimmy Carr, 'Script Slam' and 'My Name Is Sue' .
